About Us
The Mission of the School of Human Ecology is to prepare future professionals, conduct research, and implement service programs that will assist in solving problems and improving the quality of life for families and individuals in a complex and changing society. Programs, research, and services focus on the family as a system and the interaction of families and individuals with local and global environments. The integrative emphasis in each of the three functions involves the relationship of the aesthetic and functional aspects of the environment, physiological health and development, psychological and social development, and management of resources as applied to families and individuals.
