Michael Keenan will serve as a reviewer on a National Institutes of Health Study Section on December 4, 2009. This is a one-time panel to review R15 Proposals for funding from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. Doctoral student, Jiyun Kang, and Dr. Haesun Park-Poaps , Textiles, Apparel Design and Merchandising program, in the School of Human Ecology, received an award at the 2009 International Textiles and Apparel Association Annual Meeting held in Seattle. The paper was titled “Social Shopping in Fashion: Development of a Multi-dimensional Scale” and was recognized as the best paper in the consumer behavior track. ******** Fran Lawrence has been elected to the 2010-2112 Board of Directors of the Volunteer Health Corps (VHC). VHC is a private non-profit organization serving in a volunteer capacity as a catalyst to forge parpartnerships between the private medical community and the public health sector in an effort to minimize delays in treatment, improve access to care for urgent problems, and minimize the use of emergency rooms for chronic health problems. |
